Sclerotherapy has been the gold standard of treatment for leg veins. It is a safe and proven treatment for eliminating unsightly red and purple spider veins, blue reticular veins as well as larger varicose veins. It involves injecting a solution of sterile water, sugar salt and detergent into the affected veins. This causes the damaged vein to close down and the body then resorbs it. This allows the blood flow to be redirected to healthy veins.

At Thornbury Leg Vein Clinic, Kathy RN, provides personalized sclerotherapy treatments designed to safely and effectively treat spider veins on the legs. Every treatment plan begins with a comprehensive assessment to ensure the most appropriate approach for your individual needs.

Treatment sessions take about 1 hour and normal activities can be resumed immediately.
